Perfect Sound Recorder is a powerful tool that lets you capture and record the sound from various sources, including a connected microphone, the played stream of an online-broadcasting radio station, and so on.

Basically, any sound passing through your audio card can be captured and recorded. This handy program is therefore also suitable for digitizing the recordings of music cassette tapes or vinyl LPs. It lets you turn cassette tapes and vinyl LPs into digital files of common formats, like the ubiquitous MP3. It can also record the sound from any program running on your system, such as audio players like WinAmp, Real Player or iTunes.

Perfect Sound Recorder comes with a very simple and easy-to-use interface. Even complete beginners can use this tool without any problem.

The most remarkable disadvantages of this tool are the facts that it supports recording only in two formats: MP3 and WAV, and it doesn’t offer a scheduler that would allow you to perform automated recordings at future times without your intervention. Silence detection is also not supported. Anyway, it supports different recording formats (based on quality and measured in Hz), and it allows customizing advanced parameters like the bit rate of the output file.

In conclusion, Perfect Sound Recorder is a nice tool, but considering its price, the aforementioned flaws, and the many other sound recorders on the market, it’s not exactly worthy of a recommendation. If you have the time to search, you can find better sound recording tools at lower prices.
